YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT…PLEASE EXERCISE THAT RIGHT!!
If you have been arrested, the most important advice I can give you,, is to not speak to anybody about the case until you have spoken to an experienced and qualified criminal defense attorney. Any statement you make to the police is going to be used against you in future court proceedings. The Law Offices of William L. Wolfe can provide the necessary advice to limit the damage or perhaps improve your situation.
Retaining an attorney as soon as possible improves your chances of getting out of jail and staying out of jail.
The Law Offices of William L. Wolfe can begin immediately to investigate your case and prepare to have your bail reduced or have you released on your own recognizance, file motions to suppress damaging evidence or even have the case dismissed entirely. The longer you wait, the more difficult these options become.

IF THE POLICE WANT TO SPEAK WITH YOU
This advice also applies if the police "just want to speak with you" about a potential criminal case. This may occur in person or over the telephone. Chances are they are gathering evidence to later arrest you. Do not be fooled by the line "you won't be arrested, we just want to talk to you." Politely tell the police officer or detective that you wish to speak with your attorney first, and ask for a telephone number where you and your attorney can reach the officer later. Do not fool yourself into thinking you can speak to the police and explain away their concerns. As a former police detective, I can assure you this rarely, if ever, works.
